Spring Community Cleanup

Calling all community members!
It’s almost time for our Spring Community Cleanup! Join us April 13 at 8 am to help beautify Mathews! Meet us at the Mathews County Visitor & Information Center at 239 Main Street to pickup your bags, vests, gloves, grabbers, nets, and snacks!
We encourage community organizations and civic groups, as well as individuals, to participate- it’s a fulfilling and fun day! If you’ve adopted a highway, it’s the perfect day to clean your stretch of road. VDOT will even pick up the bags when you’re finished. If you’re not sure of a route to pickup, we can suggest an area for you to focus on.
