The Mathews County Visitor & Information Center is governed by the Visitor Center Advisory Board, comprised of a dedicated and diverse group of professionals with the goal of promoting tourism in Mathew County.
Our vision:The Mathews County Visitor & Information Center will serve the county in fostering a tourism campaign and economic opportunities that respect and preserve the unique culture, natural resources, commerce, and small-town charm of the county.
Our mission: To 1) stimulate the economy by serving as the destination marketing organization for the county of Mathews through advertising and marketing programs; 2) foster community pride and togetherness by providing information to residents, visitors, and entrepreneurs to connect to merchants, events and programs, artisans, cultural experiences and recreational opportunities; 3) ensure the social and physical vitality of Sibley’s General Store so that it may serve the evolving tourism needs of the community.
