MCHS Historic Home & Garden Tour

Join the Mathews County Historical Society for a Historic Home & Garden Tour, benefitting the Tompkins Cottage Lift Fund.
The event will include small group tours of the interior of Providence, open gardens, music, and hors d’oeuvres and beverages!
Providence, a beautiful two-story mansion overlooking the Piankatank River, was built in the early 1800s by William Fitchett. Many architectural features that confirm its early construction still remain.
