Market Days Race

The Mathews Family YMCA is pleased to once again host the 5k-plus race* and 1-mile fun run this year in conjunction with the annual Mathews Market Days festival. Both races start and end at the YMCA (10746 Buckley Hall Road, Mathews). Awards will be presented to the fastest Male & Female overall 5k-plus finisher, and to the top finishers in 9 age groups. All of the 1-mile finishers will receive a ribbon at the end of the course.
Child watch is available during the race so bring the kiddos. We’ll keep them busy if you run the 5k-plus. When you’re done, you can join them in the 1-mile fun run! Stick around after both races are complete for the post-race raffle – and you may just win scrumptious homemade treats. OH YEAH, the Fun Run is free (unless you want to purchase a shirt); the 5k is $30.
*The Market Days 5k-plus course is 3.5 miles in length. A ‘standard’ 5k is 3.1 miles, so we’re calling this our 5k-plus race.
