The Mathews Historical Museum is hosting its 5th Annual Spring Heritage Festival – May Faire 2023! May Day Festivals were commonplace in Mathews from early 1900s to the 1980s. The Mathews Historical Museum reintroduced the festival concept in 2017, renaming it “May Faire.” Each year May Faire honors the heritage of Mathews County, providing residents and visitors an opportunity to explore a different theme from the County’s past.
