The “Ukesters” – Music on Sibley’s Front Porch

Your favorite Ukulele group is coming back to the Sibley’s General Store on July 4th weekend!
Stop by to hear them jam on July 3rd, 11am – 1pm.
About the Ukesters:
A small group of stray ukulele players in Richmond found each other in 2015 and began to practice around a dining room table. Word got out, and soon there were 10 of us with a book of songs ever expanding. Today we are a group of some 22 players, most of whom have been with us for at least five years. With an occasional accordion, clarinet, banjo, autoharp and steel drum, we play a variety of songs—familiar uke songs from the 1930s, Beetles, gospel, popular and bluegrass. We are a dedicated group, having as much fun as we can. We practice weekly and until Covid, had a regular schedule performing for retirement communities in and around Richmond.
