This isn’t your average coastal Virginia rental, this is our HOME! Peek into a fragment of our lives by visiting our quirky cottage on Main Street, right on the edge of Downtown Mathews.
Here you will discover our love for music, skateboarding, and Volkswagens all throughout our home, A Touch of Grey.
Take advantage of the slower life in Mathews. Sit in our front yard and watch traffic pass, stroll to the local farmer’s market open from April through October, and stop into a restaurant for a bite to eat. We’re located less than a mile from most restaurants and only a 10 minute drive to the beach.
Enjoy our foyer full of posters, artwork, and knickknacks collected through our travels. At the end of the hallway you’ll find our coveted record collection, ready to set the tone for morning, evening, or night. (We recommend anything from VA native Keller Williams for a Sunday morning spin while making breakfast – it’s our weekend tradition!)
Our living room provides ample space for you to enjoy the newest episode from your streaming service. Be sure to check out Jeff’s skateboard collection he’s been acquiring for over a decade, including a few from now-professional skaters he grew up skating with in Chesapeake!
Our fully equipped kitchen is ready for you to prepare any meal or heat up leftovers from one of the many restaurants in Mathews! Almost all of the restaurants are within walking distance (0.7 mi or less!). In the kitchen, you will also find a full sized washer and dryer so you don’t have to take the sand home with you after you enjoy a day at one of our many local beaches.
Unwind in one of our two bedrooms, which can easily sleep 4 in total. Extra linens are available in each room if needed during your stay. Our bathroom is stocked with plenty of fresh towels and even has a full size bathtub, too!
