Market Days 5k & 1m Fun Run
Kick off your 2018 Market Days experience with a morning run or walk around Mathews. This annual 5k event has a new location with an entirely new route, starting and finishing within the Market Days event grounds. This year marks the 12th Annual L. Wayne Hudgins Wharf to Wharf Swim to benefit the Mathews Land Conservancy's and the new Owens Waters Edge Center at Williams Wharf. Turkey Trot
Get your Thanksgiving celebrations started with a healthy 4 mile run/walk/bike from the Mathews High School to Williams Wharf. For the price of a canned good to benefit Hands Across Mathews, you can run/bike/walk four miles from MHS to Williams Wharf. A shuttle will drive you back. Mathews Community Health Screening
A community health screening for Mathews County residents will be held at Antioch Baptist Church (110 Antioch Rd. in Susan) on Thursday, April 15 th from 5- 7 p.m. Screening services offered will include body mass index, blood pressure and HbA1c (test for determining diabetes). Screenings will be conducted by clinical staff and volunteers of Gloucester Mathews Care Clinic, and this screening is made possible through a grant from the Mathews Rotary Club.
