Local Gloucester resident, Mary Bush Shipko, aviatrix and a violinist in the Courthouse Community Orchestra, is guest speaker at Mathews Historical Museum Movie Night, Friday, July 14. Another is a children’s book, “Daring Mary Aviation Pioneer,” which recounts her life on her path to becoming an airline pilot. Her newest book for ages 12 and up, “The Firsts: Women Pilots and How They Changed the Airlines” is a STEM book.
Doors open at 6:30 and the program begins at 7:00. The Mathews Historical Museum is located at 200 Main Street in Mathews. There is no cost for this event.
