Knights of Columbus Memorial Day Service

The Knights of Columbus, Council 11210, will hold a Memorial Day Service, Monday, May 29th, Memorial Day in the Cemetery of The Church of the Visitation  at 9:30 AM.  There are thirty-one U.S. military veterans buried in the church cemetery.  The ceremony will start with a procession to the cemetery led by a bagpiper, then a prayer for the fallen veterans. The American Legion Post 83 out of Mathews will provide Honors followed by TAPS.  The ceremony should last about 30 minutes.  You may follow the procession or proceed to the cemetery prior to the ceremony.  Those who have trouble walking may drive down earlier than the 9:30 start time.  The ceremony will be held at the stone patio in front of the large granite cross.  The public is invited.
