Mathews Oral History Project

The oral history project is creating permanent records of individual histories of Mathews County natives. Recorded on audio tape, the records will also be transcribed. The completed project will be available online and in the Mathews Memorial Library. The interview is an opportunity to reflect on and interpret events of the past from the perspective of the present. The Mathews Oral History Project is part of the Virginia Fieldwork in Folklore.
