Tour de Chesapeake Cycling Event
Celebrate the arrival of spring with a weekend of scenic cycling – great FLAT routes with views of the water everywhere you turn, delicious local eats, toe-tapping music, and nice, down-home folks to help you with whatever you need! The County of Mathews, the Mathews Land Conservancy, and the Mathews Visitor Center are your hosts for this event.

Mathews County Christmas Parade 2016 – “Christmas Melodies”
Mathews County Annual Christmas Parade, Saturday December 10 at 1pm. The parade will run from THMS to the Bank of America Building. Anyone interested in registering a float for the parade can obtain a registration form from the visitors center.

Halloween Trail
THMS will be hosting the “Halloween Trail”, a not-scary trick or treating experience for costumed kids in 6th grade or younger to collect candy. Jr. Beta will host this event on the trail behind Thomas Hunter from 4-6 on October 31st.

2021 Tour de Chesapeake
May 15th Weekend register now! Registration is now open! This year will feature 3 routes with 80 miles of country roads with views of farmland, mash, waterfront and beaches. Register in advance, walkups will not be available this year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, certain events during the weekend may be impacted or cancelled due to public health safety concerns. Mathews Music Department’s Dinner & A Show
Join the Mathews Music Department for Dinner and A Show, in the Thomas Hunter/ MES Cafeteria. Tickets are $10 per adult, and $5 for children 5-12. Children under 5 eat free! Purchase tickets from a music student, or from the Mathews High front office, or by emailing [email protected]!
