After a sold out, first-time event on the eve of May Faire, the Mathews Visitor Center and Mathews County Historical Society decided we had to do it again!
On Saturday, October 5th from 5pm-8pm, blues band Cole Stevens and the Delta Daggers will be performing in the Mathews Memorial Library Community Courtyard for a Louisiana-inspired evening. The band gives a diverse dose of blues composition including Chicago style, West Coast swing and infectious Latin and funky New Orleans grooves. To compliment the band, we’ve invited Gumbeau’s Catering Food Truck to provide a cajun-inspired food menu available for purchase in addition to a beer and wine cash bar.
Tickets are on sale for $25 and include one beverage. To purchase tickets, visit the Mathews Visitor Center, or call 804-725-4229 to reserve and pay over the phone. We do not anticipate tickets being available the day of the event!
This event supports the Mathews Visitor Center’s historically registered building – Sibley’s General Store, and the Mathews County Historical Society’s historically registered building, Thomas James Store.
