Kicking off the month on , join the Mathews Fireworks Committee on July 1st for the annual fireworks show at Mathews High School! Starting at 6 PM, join the community on the football field for a fantastic show!
Join your friends at The Seafood Shack for live music with Edison & Friends on July 1st, starting at 6:30 PM. There will be food and drink specials, and you can see the fireworks from the porch!
Mi Casa Azteca will be having a 4th of July celebration on July 1st, with DJ Big-E Iceman! There is no cover charge, and the fun will start at 8 PM– come dance the night away after the fireworks show!
CANCELED! Join the American Legion Post 83 for their World Famous Breakfast on July 2nd, starting at 8 AM. It is $10/ meal, and all are welcome!
The second event of the Mathews Outdoor Club’s Mathews Micro Triathlon Series is on July 8th– these events are ideal for beginners to the sport of triathlon or for experienced participants who want an opportunity to train and compete. Awards will be presented at the final series event in August to top overall finishers! You can get more information and register here.
Everyone loves donning their best neon gear and going out for a night of fun with the Deloreans! Everyone’s favorite 80’s band will be playing at Flat Iron Crossroads at 6 PM on July 8th! Purchase tickets here.
Join the Kiwanis Club of Mathews County on July 9th, at 4 PM to benefit the children of the county! This is a family-friendly event being held at The Hyco House with cook-out style food, ice cream, family beverages and a cash bar! There is also a raffle/ silent auction, and there will be games and drum fun thanks to CA&J Farm.

The Mathews Memorial Library‘s next summer concert will take place on July 13th at 7 PM! Go out with your friends to enjoy the soothin’ sounds of Plunky and Oneness- the event is free, and there will be refreshments provided!

The 4th event of the Party at the Wharf Summer Series will take place on July 28th at 5 PM. This family-friendly event will have live music by Part Time, and food from 2 Salty River Chicks and On the Flip Side food trucks! Bring a chair, a friend, and get ready to dance the night away!
