8th Annual Chili Cook-Off
As you know, this event has become one of the biggest social events of the winter in Mathews! With over 500 people at the Piankatank Ruritan Club the night before the Super Bowl, it is a fun and enjoyable experience. The Mathews Historical Museum, Mathews Land Conservancy, Mathews Kiwanis Club, Mathews Bay School and Mathews Rotary Club will not only compete for the “BEST CHILI” in Mathews, but they will also raise money to improve the lives of Mathews’ citizens!…

In recognition of Black History Month, the Mathews Historical Museum is pleased to host performances by the Men’s and the Women’s Chorus of our local Ebenezer Baptist Church, at the Cobbs Creek Arts Center. Meet Your Kids at the Bay School for a Movie Night! Friday, March 1. The kids can take the bus from school or you can drop them off at 3:00 at Mathews Memorial Library for rabbit time.
