Party with a Purpose
The 2nd Annual Party with a Purpose is coming up on June 3rd, and proceeds will benefit Mathews' Meals on Wheels! This year's event will feature live music by The Roadducks, food from Backwoods BBQ, On the Flip Side and Short Lane Ice Cream, plus a beer and wine truck! Tickets include one drink. Ideal for beginners to the sport of triathlon OR for experienced who want an opportunity to train & compete. MMTS #3 has options for Micro OR Sprint distances. Annual 9 mile paddling event for non-motorized craft, circumnavigating one of Virginia’s few inhabited islands: Gwynn’s Island in Mathews County. With its origins as a fun summer challenge for a group of friends, the Islander Regatta is opening its door to more participants. Max 200.

Kingston Parish hosts a joint concert with the organists of Kingston Parish, Danny Corneliussen, Libby Boyer from Christ Church - Middlesex, and Coleman Tyler, organist, composer and Anglican priest. The concert will be at the Kingston Parish Chapel on 370 Main Street in Mathews. The program, A Celebration of British Music, will include organ and choral music from throughout the British Isles. The HeART of Rock & Roll runs June 30th through July 24th. Participating artwork incorporates and centers around a rock and roll theme: 15 artists either used rock songs as inspiration, used rock and roll themes or even depicted recognizable musicians. Featured artwork includes hanging art, fiber art, pottery and jewelry. Join the Bay School for an Opening Reception on June 30th from 5-7 PM. Enjoy drinks, finger foods, artwork and great company!

Kiwanis Charter Night
