What the Eyes Can’t See Lecture
Join the Mathews Memorial Library for a lecture by author Margaret Edds. What The Eyes Can’t See provides a revealing examination of race in the nation, how racism might be addressed and reckoned with, and how we all may find a measure of redemption in listening to one another. Movie Night at the Museum, Friday, March 8, will open with a brief historical slide presentation of the nearly 40 years of County Fairs that were held in Mathews beginning in 1901, and lasting up to the early 1940s.
