Ribbon Cutting: VA250 LOVE Signs
Join the Mathews VA250 Committee for a double-ribbon cutting event!! Through a generous grant, the Mathews VA250 has arranged for two new LOVEWorks signs in Mathews- one at The Hatchery/ Oyster Seed Holdings, and one at Williams Wharf! Both will be unveiled on this day, and a ribbon-cutting to represent both signs will take place at the Hatchery. Stay after the ceremony for a day of fun, oysters, and drinks on the water- plus plenty of photo ops!

Join the Sons of the American Revolution, Richard Henry Lee Chapter, for the Cricket Hill Ceremony, promptly at 10 am. On July 8, 1776, Gen. Andrew Lewis and Virginia militia established an artillery battery at Fort Cricket Hill to attack Lord Dunmore’s camp on Gwynn’s Island.
