44th Annual Mathews Market Days
Come celebrate the 44th year of Mathews Market Days! This is the Mathews event of the year that you can't miss. This two day festival features hundreds of artisan and food vendors, parades, live music, dancing, kids activities, an antique car show, pet parade, contests, Saturday's Street Dance and much more. Our annual show, previously titled Emerging Artists, gets a new spin, encompassing more of who our students are as artists and how they got there. Opening Friday November 30th from 5-7 and the show will be on through December 31st.

Visit with Santa Claus
Following the Mathews Christmas Parade at 1pm, Santa will rush back to the center of town to see all of the kids of Mathews around 2pm on the porch of the Mathews County Visitor Center! Be sure to bring your camera for photos!

Winter Christmas Performance Bayside Youth Ballet will present their annual Christmas performance on Sunday, December 16 at 2:00PM at the Harry M. Ward Auditorium at Mathews High School. Tales as Old as Time Gala – Bayside Youth Ballet
Bayside Youth Ballet will present their annual Spring Gala, “Tales as Old as Time” on Sunday, May 19 at 2:00PM at the Harry M. Ward Auditorium at Mathews High School. The show will open with the very popular “Be Our Guest” from the Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast. 15th Annual Highland Games
Join us in celebrating a wee bit of Scotland at the Mathews Memorial Library’s 15th Annual Highland Games. Bring the whole family but you must be 6-14 years old to participate in the games. Participants will receive a free t-shirt and lunch and enjoy traditional Scottish music by the St. Andrew’s Legion Pipes & Drums. Bus leaves the library at 8:45am.
