14th Annual Highland Games & Picnic
Join us in celebrating a wee bit of Scotland! Bagpipes and drums lead the parade for the start of the annual Highland games. Participants compete in fun and challenging traditional Celtic sports that originated centuries ago in Scotland. The games, testing strength, endurance and skill, are “sized” by age groups 6 to 14. Register in advance for a FREE t-shirt! Bus leaves library at 8:45 a.m. to take children to the Piankatank Ruritan Recreational Field.

44th Annual Mathews Market Days
Come celebrate the 44th year of Mathews Market Days! This is the Mathews event of the year that you can't miss. This two day festival features hundreds of artisan and food vendors, parades, live music, dancing, kids activities, an antique car show, pet parade, contests, Saturday's Street Dance and much more.
