East River Lighted Christmas Boat Parade
Warm up by the fire pits and enjoy the lighted boats! Boats will make two passes by the Wharf. Cookies and hot beverages are available. Parking available on-site.

Shops will be open until 7 pm, with refreshments. Pick up a punch-card and find the hidden blue crabs in each shop, and be entered into a drawing for a family prize basket. Carolers will sing along the streets, and Santa will be taking appearances throughout town! Join the carolers for hot chocolate, winner announcements, and tree lighting at Westville Church at 7 pm!

This year's Mathews Christmas Parade theme is "Blue Crab Christmas!" The parade will be held on Saturday December 14, at 1 PM! There is no rain date if the parade is cancelled due to inclement weather, and the parade will take place rain or shine. Prizes will be awarded for the best entry in each of the following categories: Civic, Animal, Walking Unit, School, Commercial, Motorized, Church, Parade Theme, and Antique Vehicle. Friday, Saturday, May 2 & 3, May Faire 2025 “A Rural Life: Country Stores, Post Offices and Wharfs” This year, a two-day county fair-type of event, with crafters, food trucks, and entertainment, a children’s corner, Pound Cake contest, photography contest and our traditional May Pole dance.
