15th Annual Highland Games
Join us in celebrating a wee bit of Scotland at the Mathews Memorial Library’s 15th Annual Highland Games. Bring the whole family but you must be 6-14 years old to participate in the games. Participants will receive a free t-shirt and lunch and enjoy traditional Scottish music by the St. Andrew’s Legion Pipes & Drums. Bus leaves the library at 8:45am.

Rosette is a Richmond-based string quartet comprised of four women who love to make meaningful connections through music. Violinists Ellen Cockerham Riccio and Treesa Gold, violist Kimberly Ryan, and cellist Stephanie Barrett came together in November of 2015 for a Classical Revolution RVA event which explored spiritual elements in music by Bach, Beethoven, and Dvořák. Dubbed “the Queen of Virginia Gospel Music”, singer and pianist Cora Armstrong has been delighting audiences for over 40 years. Cora began taking piano lessons at the age of five, and performed gospel music with her sisters and mother as The Harvey Family.
