2018 Middle Peninsula Spring Oyster Fair
The TOGA-sponsored Annual Spring Oyster Fair will be held on April 28th, at 9am at the Gwynn's Island Civic Center. Doing Their Bit: Virginians and the Great War
Dr. Lynn Rainville, Dean of Sweet Briar College, will speak about her book “Virginia and the Great War.” Rainville is a nationally recognized scholar whose book explores the role played by Virginia and Virginians in World War I, from its beginning in 1914 through its conclusion in 1919 when American troops finally returned home. Her research for the book focused on the contributions made by civilian and military Virginia residents.
