Our own homegrown Quartet, featuring Anthony Lee Wood, Walt Stillman, Bruce Brooks and Holt Ripley, will perform songs of the Oak Ridge Boys, The Statler Bros and others as well as some of their own personal favorites! The first half will feature the Opry band and singers!

An encore performance! Join the Ware Episcopal Church, the Tri-Parish Youth Ministry, and The Church of Francis de Sales for a LIVE production of Godspell Jr. It is General Admission (no tickets for sale) and we are accepting donations at the door. The performance begins at 8pm with pre-performance refreshments (hamburgers & hot dogs) available starting at 6:30pm for a nominal fee. This is a FUND RAISER for the Francis de Sales Youth Group.

Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Samarkand on Woodas Creek. The catered event will feature a live and silent auction, offering collectible art, unique crafts by regional artisans, travel adventures and unusual gifts. All proceeds will support the school's programs and operation, enabling it to continue to offer over 150 classes per year for artists and craftsmen of all ages, and an outreach program for under-served populations in the area. The Rock n' Roll Jubilee is a musical and theatrical performance that pays tribute to the founding fathers of rock and roll in the context of a live 1958 broadcast on the fictitious radio station WJKS ( Where Joy Kills Sorrow ). The Jubilee features music from the Titans of Teen Town: Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison, The Everly Brothers, and Ricky Nelson. It's a celebration of the music that changed the world!

Mathews Maritime Speaker Event
John Emory Horner and Bill Walters discuss extensive careers at Milford Haven Coast Guard Station. Mr. Horner spent 25 years as Officer-in-Charge there, and Mr. Walters has been with the Coast Guard Auxiliary for 52 years. Both brought a wealth of experience to their service at Milford Haven. In WW II Mr. Walters served on a seaplane in the Pacific Theater for 3 years, and later became a licensed Surveyor for The Virginia Marine Resources Commission, and with the Coast Guard accurately…
