Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Samarkand on Woodas Creek. The catered event will feature a live and silent auction, offering collectible art, unique crafts by regional artisans, travel adventures and unusual gifts. Raw Earth Exhibition at Bay School
Our next exhibition, Raw Earth, opens on November 10th from 5-7pm. Featuring the works of seven female ceramists, Raw Earth will take a look at the myriad of ways that bits of often overlooked elements can be formed and fired to create beautiful artworks. Empty Bowls Charity Fundraiser
The Bay School and Hands Across Mathews are excited to be hosting our fourth annual Empty Bowls event. The hand-made bowls are starting to stack up on the shelves at the Bay School and more are being made as we speak. An incredible assortment of hand-made soups, breads, and cookies will be served during the event. Familiar potters and chefs will be joined by some new hands, both novice and expert. 6th Annual Art Speaks On The Bay Juried Exhibition
Join us Saturday, April 28, 4-6pm to open the show! Our annual juried art exhibition returns this year, with Joseph Seipel, former Dean of Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Arts, as our judge/ juror and a $1,500 award for best in show! Opening reception and awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 28th from 4-6pm, and the gallery will be open until May 29th, 10am-4pm.
