A Bus Trip to the VMFA RODIN: EVOLUTION OF A GENIUS

Guided Tour of the Exhibit
The exhibition features nearly 200 works by the greatest sculptor of the 19th and early 20th centuries: Auguste Rodin. Revealing the evolving output of this genius of sculpture, the exhibition examines his techniques, materials, models and assistants, and explores the extraordinary working process behind some of his best known works.
Luncheon in the Marble Hall

The Lecture
Dr. Mitchell Merling, Paul Mellow curator and head of the Department of European Art and Owen Duffy, exhibitions manager of the Anderson Gallery at VCU, will engage in a conversation about the forceful impact of Rodin on modern and contemporary art.
