DESCRIPTION:Winter Christmas Performance \nBayside Youth Ballet will present their annual Christmas performance on Sunday\, December 16 at 2:00PM at the Harry M. Ward Auditorium at Mathews High School.  The ballet company will be performing “Journey to the Land of the Sweets”\, Act II of the Nutcracker\, for the third season.  The popular Sugar Plum Fairy\, Waltz of the Flowers and other excerpts from this beloved classic will be performed by dancers from Gloucester\, Mathews\, Middlesex\, and Portsmouth as well as guest performances by students from Diggs School of Dance and Etudes Dance Studio in Kilmarnock. .   The company will also be performing “Christmas with the Tran -Siberian Orchestra” as well as other holiday selections. \nThis is year\, BYB is partnering with The Bay School Community Arts Center to provide a visual addition to our Performing Arts Gala.  The Bay School will host an art exhibit in the lobby so come early to view works of some of our local artists. \nWith 43 dancers ranging in age from 7 to 18\, new and exciting choreography\, and lavish costumes\, the program is sure to be a family favorite during this Christmas season. \nTickets for the performance are $12 for adults and $7 for children under 10 and are available at Office Supply in Gloucester\, the Mathews Visitor Center and Diggs School of Dance in Gloucester or email baysideballet@gmail.com.  Tickets will also be available at the door.

Hors de ouvres and Cocktail Social\, followed by a prompt 7:00 pm Dinner. \nDinner will include three courses of extravagant cuisine paired with outstanding wines from Hungary\, followed by dessert and an even better wine. Wine Dinner participants must be 21 years of age. DESCRIPTION:Slim Man is a jazz musician that won the Best Jazz Vocalist at the Coachella Music awards in 2016-2017. He also will have new release out this August. The Young at Heart CD is a collection of Rat Pack songs with a Slim twist.  At a young age\, Slim saw Louis Armstrong play the trumpet and sing and then he went on to study trumpet for the next 9 years\, and also taught himself how to play piano and guitar. He’s had songs recorded by the Temptations\, Angela Bofill\, Carl Anderson\, and other artists. Slim’s big discovery was named Ronnie Dunn\, who went on to hook up with Kix Brooks to form the multiple Grammy award-winning country music duo\, Brooks and Dunn. \nCost: $25 and students are free
