Be sure to list all your volunteer’s names – we want to make sure every organization and volunteer is recognized for their efforts! \nSaturday the 11th: Come enjoy free doughnuts and coffee at the Mathews Visitor Center and pick up your supplies (if you have not already done so). Clean up your road – and leave the orange bags on the road; VDOT will pick up bags. Then return to the Visitors Center for prizes\, and free pizza party! \nRecommendations: It’s best to have at least 4 volunteers working together – two for each side of the road\, one on each side of the ditch. Also it’s a good idea to wear rubber boots\, and bring a pole or crabbing net on a pole – those help pick trash out water/ditches. And please bring your own gloves! You can expect to clean about 1 mile per hour with 4 volunteers\, depending on the road.
