DESCRIPTION:Join us for our Fall Community Cleanup!\n\n\n\nThis is a great opportunity for civic organizations\, school groups\, and more to get some service hours in our community. We filled 100 bags during our Spring Community Cleanup- let’s see if we can beat that number!\n\n\n\nSign up using the link below\, or by emailing Kat at mathewsvisitorcenter@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing you all soon!\n\n\nhttps://www.surveymonkey.com/r/cleanupfall2024\n\n\n\n\nHelp us clean Mathews roadways for the fall! Pick up our neighborhoods and roadways. The cleanup is scheduled for Saturday November 2\, 8 AM to noon\, starting at the Mathews County Visitor & Information Center\, located at 239 Main Street.  \nGeneral guidelines:\n– The Mathews Visitor Center provides to-go snacks\, all equipment\, and route recommendations\, plus a post event pizza party! \n\n– All groups must be accompanied by an adult. You are responsible for your own transportation.\n– Pick your own route\, or do your Adopt-a-Highway road\, or we will have a list of roads for you.\n– Keep track of how many bags are collected\, and leave them on the side of the highway\, out of the way of pedestrian and road traffic.\n– What to wear: long pants\, waterproof boots\, long sleeves\, gloves.\n– What we supply: Gloves\, Bags\, Vests\, Grabbers\, Nets\nReturn Equipment by noon\, and you must report your work to the Mathews\nVisitor Center.\n\n**Keep track of how many bags you accumulated**

DESCRIPTION:Join the Mathews Main Street Committee for a special Thanksgiving holiday Farmers Market!  \nGive thanks for your local farmers\, artisans\, and bakers by filling your holiday tables with locally produced seasonal specials. \nThanksgiving Turkey Giveaway donated by Our Lil Gang Farms! Purchase tickets\, $3.00\, at the Mathews Memorial Library\, MCVIC\, and the Farmers Market. The winner will be chosen at the end of the November 23rd market. There will be more vendor raffles during the market too! \nBring the entire family (including pets) for all to enjoy the pleasant social atmosphere. We also encourage everyone to check out the surrounding shops and restaurants in downtown Mathews\, all within easy walking distance of the market.
