DESCRIPTION:The Knights of Columbus\, Council 11210 will host its 11th Annual Italian Feast on Saturday\, April 21\, 2018 at the Church of the Visitation on Route 33 in Topping. \nSeating is at 5:00p.m. The dinner will include home-made meatballs made with pork\, beef and veal\, Italian sweet sausages\, homemade sauce and Penne Pasta.  Fresh Italian bread\, salad and hand grated Reggiano Parmesan cheese will top off the food menu. Home-made desserts will complete the feast. \nRed and White wine\, coffee and tea will complement the meal. \nReservations are required and tickets are priced at $18.00 per adult\, $5.00 for children under 12\, and kids under 6 years old are free. DESCRIPTION:The Court House Players will present the comedy classic “Bus Stop” by William Inge Thursday through Sunday\, March 8-11\, at the Piankatank Ruritan Club\, Rt. 198\, Hudgins. \nFour flawed but charming travelers are waylaid at Grace’s Diner by a ferocious snow storm and find themselves warmed\, welcomed\, and sometimes chastened by the four locals who are snowed in with them. Directed by Anita Minuth. \nTickets for the Thursday through Saturday dinner theater performances are $30 each. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m.\, with curtain at 8.  \nThe menu is herb-crusted pork tenderloin\, baked sweet potato\, green beans with bacon and tomatoes\, mixed field greens salad\, rolls\, tea or coffee\, and apple dumpling with ice cream. There will also be a wine and beer cash bar. \nThe Sunday\, show-only matinee is $17 in advance for adults; $18 at the door. DESCRIPTION:This is a great way for your organization/group to spend a couple hours and have a positive impact on our beloved county. Show you care – come out and help! \nFree doughnuts\, coffee and hot chocolate!\nFree pizza courtesy Island Stop for lunch!\nDoor Prizes!! Prize for most bags picked up!! \nWhen: ***Saturday November 11th\, 2017 \nTime: 8am – Meet at Visitors Center to pick up trash bags\, safety vests\, safety briefing\, and free doughnuts! \nNoon – By noon\, please return to visitor center to report how many bags were collected and where. And stay for several great door prizes and free pizza party! \nLocation: Mathews Visitor Center. You can select a road section to clean\, or the Visitor Center will provide locations. \nProcess: Before November 11th\, contact the Mathews Visitor Center\, or call or email\, with your organization’s name\, how many people you anticipate will help\, and the section of road you will clean up. Be sure to list all your volunteer’s names – we want to make sure every organization and volunteer is recognized for their efforts! \nSaturday the 11th: Come enjoy free doughnuts and coffee at the Mathews Visitor Center and pick up your supplies (if you have not already done so). Clean up your road – and leave the orange bags on the road; VDOT will pick up bags. Then return to the Visitors Center for prizes\, and free pizza party! \nRecommendations: It’s best to have at least 4 volunteers working together – two for each side of the road\, one on each side of the ditch. Also it’s a good idea to wear rubber boots\, and bring a pole or crabbing net on a pole – those help pick trash out water/ditches. And please bring your own gloves! You can expect to clean about 1 mile per hour with 4 volunteers\, depending on the road.
