SUMMARY:A Turkish Feast: A Progressive Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Please join the Bay School on November 13 for a Progressive Dinner Party celebrating Turkish cuisine.\nThe festivities begin at 5:30 with appetizers and Yeni Raki Cocktails at The Bay School. You will have first chance to shop the Holiday Pop-Up Shop while you sip and mingle.\n\nAt 6:00\, we will walk to The White Dog Bistro to savor a four-course authentic Turkish dinner with the entree of your choice. Your dinner includes two glasses of Turkish wine. A cash bar will also be open.\n\nTickets are $135 per person for members\, $145 per person for non-members.\n\nTurkish Progressive Dinner Menu:\n\nFirst Course (Seated) Salad\nTraditional Vegetable Salad with Marinated Tomato\, Cucumber\, Mediterranean Olives\, Sweet Pepper\, Walnuts and Currants. Served with Toasted Flatbread and Seasoned Olive Oil.\n\nSecond Course (Seated) Soup\nTraditional Mercimek Corbasi (Vegan Red Lentil Soup)\n\nThird Course Entrée Selections\n1. Marinated Chicken Şiş Kebobs2. Ground Lamb Şiş Kebobs3. Shrimp Şiş Kebobs4. Purchase tickets\, $3.00\, at the Mathews Memorial Library\, MCVIC\, and the Farmers Market. The winner will be chosen at the end of the November 23rd market. There will be more vendor raffles during the market too! \nBring the entire family (including pets) for all to enjoy the pleasant social atmosphere. We also encourage everyone to check out the surrounding shops and restaurants in downtown Mathews\, all within easy walking distance of the market.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Gwynn’s Island to kick-off your Holiday Season! During this free event\, see the educational exhibits that portray our rich history. As the oldest museum in Mathews County\, we offer a unique perspective on the founding of our country. The GI Museum is truly a gem.  \nThe GI Museum will be decorated inside and out for Christmas\, offering several locations for family photos. Santa will be on hand and holiday music will set the mood. There will be homemade sweets\, hot cocoa and cider\, plus a silent auction of wreaths decorated by Gwynn’s Island artists and residents. There will be Gwynn’s Island Christmas ornaments\, boat blankets\, mugs and shirts available for purchase!
