SUMMARY:2021 Mathews Market Days Poster Sale
DESCRIPTION:The Mathews Market Days Committee is proud to present the artwork of the late Mr. W. Langley Deagle\, Sr. featured on this year’s Mathews Market Days poster.\nLangley was a graduate of Mathews High School\, a graphic artist for the Naval Weapons Station\, and also known for having painted the names on many boats in and around the Mathews County area. His work expanded from on boats to paintings on canvas\, drawings on paper\, and more\, primarily showcasing his love for birds and the Chesapeake Bay. The 2021 Mathews Market Days poster features Langley’s painting of a local buyboat\, the “Lavenia H.”\n\nMrs. Janet Deagle will be present on Saturday\, December 4th from 10 AM – 1 PM along with some of their children to honor Langley’s artwork and legacy during the first sale of this year’s poster.\n\nThere will be 175 posters available for sale with a limited number signed.

DESCRIPTION:An indoor bazaar featuring local craft vendors\, offering goods such as baked items and hand crafted items suitable for Christmas giving.\nThe Museum will also offer takeout chili in quarts\, at $6\, as well as a “dine in” option of a hotdog with chili\, chips\, water. Takeout orders must\nbe ordered via www.mathewsvamuseum.org   by December 8 at 5:00 p.m.\n\nShop one-of-a-kind items—baked goods\, holiday greens\, jewelry\, carved wood items—all created by local artisans.\n\n\nALSO the Museum if hosting “Soup to Go” Offered at the Mathews Museum’s Holiday  Bazaar \n\nFreshly made seafood chowder from a recipe inspired by Mathews County’s Southwind Restaurant\, and cornbread provided by local Richardson’s\nRestaurant are on the take-out menu at the Museum’s 3rd Annual Christmas Bazaar\, Friday and Saturday\, December 9 & 10\, 9:00am until 5:00 pm.\nPre-orders required by December 1 at www.Mathewsvamuseum.org\, $10\, and $13 at the door as supplies last.
