Directed by Anita Minuth. \nTickets for the Thursday through Saturday dinner theater performances are $30 each. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m.\, with curtain at 8.  \nThe menu is herb-crusted pork tenderloin\, baked sweet potato\, green beans with bacon and tomatoes\, mixed field greens salad\, rolls\, tea or coffee\, and apple dumpling with ice cream. There will also be a wine and beer cash bar. \nThe Sunday\, show-only matinee is $17 in advance for adults; $18 at the door. DESCRIPTION:The Bay School and Hands Across Mathews are excited to be hosting our fourth annual Empty Bowls event. The hand-made bowls are starting to stack up on the shelves at the Bay School and more are being made as we speak.  \nAn incredible assortment of hand-made soups\, breads\, and cookies will be served during the event.  Familiar potters and chefs will be joined by some new hands\, both novice and expert.   \nThis is a ticketed event.  Tickets may be reserved on the Bay School website or purchased at the Bay School starting Thanksgiving week.  All proceeds go directly to Hands Across Mathews\, so cash or check only\, please.  Your $15 ticket gives you a hand-crafted bowl to be treasured or given as a gift; a simple lunch of soup and bread\, to nourish you and remind you of all the empty bowls in the world; and the warm fuzzy feeling of having helped fill your neighbors’ empty bowls here in Mathews.  We will sell as many tickets as we have bowls.  Extra soup may be purchased for $5 a serving\, and additional donations are of course welcome and appreciated. We hope you join us!

SUMMARY:Mathews Maritime Speaker Event
DESCRIPTION:John Emory Horner and Bill Walters discuss extensive careers at Milford Haven Coast Guard Station. Mr. Horner spent 25 years as Officer-in-Charge there\, and Mr. Walters has been with the Coast Guard Auxiliary for 52 years.  Both brought a wealth of experience to their service at Milford Haven. In WW II Mr. Walters served on a seaplane in the Pacific Theater for 3 years\, and later became a licensed Surveyor for The Virginia Marine Resources Commission\, and with the Coast Guard accurately charting and emplacing markers. Mr. Horner had served at the Boston Lighthouse where he was involved in the rescue of 42 shipwrecked people. He also served on an Icebreaker that came within 300 miles of the North Pole.
